Create an inclusive framework for product development

Markets change, customers have specific issues that if incorporated would turn a good product into a world class product. The creation of framework that utilises practices that make sense for your business will ensure that issues are addressed and a product is developed that meets (or exceeds) your customers expectations.

There are always two classes of customer. The external ones are obvious as they are the customer who will purchase the product. But there is the internal market as well. These are the people who will have to live with and actually deliver the product to your customers. Product creation must be therefore sensitive and take into account the capabilities and needs of the organisation particularly with respect to the adoption of new processes and technology.

A good product development framework is one that provides guidance and structure to a development team while, at the same time, offering sufficient flexibility to allow them to innovate and get the job done in a way that makes most sense to the team. Here selective use of tools and techniques and creation of processes that fit to the business model you operate under and the culture of your business are critical to getting this right.
